I think this is abundantly clear when considering all the metrics available to judge success in the Progressive Liberals' war on poverty and their continued insistence on doubling down on failed entitlement programs ...

Let me see, there was 14% poverty in America in the mid-60's when LBJ began infusing his vision of the "Great Society" upon all of us and in unleashing the Federal coffers to conduct the War on Poverty in America ... After untold TRILLIONS of dollars 'invested' (I'm being kind) in reducing or eliminating poverty, America finds 14.3% of our population falling under the (capricious and arbitrary defined) poverty-line.  

Heaven forbid that we modify welfare programs away from keeping people on the narcotic of Government handouts, and begin lifting our people up through teaching self-reliance and challenge everyone to engage in America's meritocracy ... with the awareness at the end of the day, individuals 'gotta wanna' to succeed -
