It’s a nasty truth, but those who seek to inflict harm are not fazed by gun-control laws. - Ronald Reagan

“Picking on the mainstream media is easier than offending radical feminists, and almost as much fun, but just because it’s barely a challenge doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do it. We should. We must.

All decent, patriotic Americans yearn for the day when the effects of emerging technologies combine with the mainstream media’s insufferable progressive cheerleading to finally destroy it. Its death throes are underway, but it won’t buy the farm overnight. The body of the mainstream media is still shambling along, wreaking havoc, long after it its brain has died. So we need to put down the mainstream media like we would any other mindless zombie.

If we made a show about it, we could call it The Lying, Lame, Liberal-Licking Dead.”

With the advent of so many additional outlets for news and information, mainstream media remains in the process of being disintermediated, and it shows! Shrill, inaccurate or downright deceitful reporting has become the norm for mainstream media outlets. However, no longer will their partisan biases be overlooked. Too many now recognize the political shills mainstream media 'journalists' are in reality. Only low-information voters support mainstream media, but unfortunately, low-information voters also support the Democrats -

“Former Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber was told in early 2014 that the Obamacare state health care exchange his administration spent $305 million building could be made operational. But his administration chose instead to scrap the project and seek a scapegoat to keep the fiasco from harming his re-election, according to evidence turned over to congressional investigators.

The materials, reviewed by The Washington Times, include emails and memos between state officials and campaign aides as well as a transcript of a conversation from a state official turned whistleblower that suggests federal tax dollars were sacrificed for political convenience.”

Shocking! Imagine a professional politician basing decision-making on political benefit. What's our world coming to?

“I almost feel sorry for my leftist friends. Whenever there’s a story about a crazed shooter, they invariably speculate that it’s someone affiliated with the Tea Party. So they must be sad when it turns out to be a random nut or in some cases a leftist.

Similarly, when the news broke a few days ago about the Amtrak derailment, they instantly decided that the crash was the result of inadequate handouts from Washington. So imagine how forlorn they must be since it turns out the bureaucrat in charge of the train was traveling at about twice the appropriate speed. <> But let’s set aside the tender feelings of our statist buddies and look to see whether there are any policy lessons to learn from the recent Amtrak tragedy.”

Amtrak remains a glaring example of Government's inability to successfully run ANY commercial enterprise --- Yes, Amtrak is a commercial enterprise, and it is a FAILURE on any level, unless used as an example of government overreach and the waste of taxpayer money. Congress should immediately end Amtrak subsidies. Amtrak should begin charging the passenger rates that would prove competitive and sustainable for their business model. If Amtrak can't survive, then it should follow in the footsteps of the buggy-whip industry -

“While actions speak louder than words, words often predict future actions. Secular progressives’ words and actions rarely align. This is because the pseudo-utopian, wholly dystopian perch from which they view the world is so detached from reality that, from a cultural and public policy standpoint, they must disguise their intended actions in flowery and euphemistic language, or face near universal rejection.

When they don’t like the terms, liberals redefine the terms to mean something they do not, never have and never can mean. Consider, for instance, the once meaningful words “marriage” and “equality.”

Other “progressive” doublespeak includes words like “invest” (meaning socialist redistribution of wealth), “tolerance” (meaning embrace immorality or face total ruin), “diversity” (meaning Christians and conservatives need not apply), “hate” (meaning truth) or “The Affordable Care Act” (meaning unaffordable, unsustainable and utterly inferior socialized medicine).

Even so, it’s during those rare moments of candor that our cultural Marxist friends’ rhetoric actually aligns with their intended actions. In other words, every so often, and usually by accident, they tell the truth.”

"Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth. By simply not mentioning certain subjects... totalitarian propagandists have influenced opinion much more effectively than they could have by the most eloquent denunciations." - Aldous Huxley

As the Obama administration mercifully begins to wind toward the end of its second term, both the President and the First Lady will continue to distract from their horrible record. Their favorite distraction is to claim racial discrimination exists in this nation and is needs to be corrected through government action. ...

... Instead of dealing with the problems they have created, the First Couple engage in a continual discussion about race while employing racially divisive rhetoric. Although it may be skillful and political expedient, it has done tremendous damage to race relations in the nation. ...

... The last 20 months of the Obama administration will be very, very uncomfortable. Let's pray our country will avoid a disastrous racial conflict.

We never thought that the phrase 'the last 20 months of the Obama administration' could sound so good!

“The Tuesday night Amtrak derailment in Philadelphia that left eight dead and hundreds injured occurred when a train hit a curve at twice the 50 mile per hour speed limit. So, naturally, this tragedy has devolved into a political rumpus over infrastructure spending.

This reflexive demand for more public “investment” could benefit from a fact or two. House Republicans are supposedly to blame (retroactively?) for the crash because the Appropriations Committee passed a transportation funding measure Wednesday that hands Amtrak $289 million for operations and $850 million in capital grants—or about $260 million less than its normal annual take.

Never mind that Amtrak has pumped $2.6 billion into the 456-mile track called the northeast corridor over the last decade. The eight states along this route that connects Boston to Washington through New York and Philadelphia supplied another $2.4 billion, plus a one-time $1 billion fillip from the 2009 stimulus.”

Come on! Facts? Professional politicians don't let facts get in the way of a debate -

“Stephanopoulos now says he donated $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation, says the donations were an error in judgment, says he was wrong not to disclose the donations to ABC and his viewers, and has recused himself from participating in the network's 2016 New Hampshire GOP primary debate. Good enough?

...And not just any anchor, either. This was George Stephanopoulos, he who ran communications for Bill Clinton's White House before being hired on as a broadcast network newsman. Not as an analyst, mind you; as an anchor, who just happens to run much of ABC's political coverage. That's akin to Fox News hiring Karl Rove to do Bret Baier's job. Unfathomable. But the Left plays by different rules. So, just a few months after Brian Williams was suspended at NBC News for his fabulism and exaggerations, a major figure at a rival network finds himself besieged by serious questions over journalistic ethics and conflicts of interest.”

Democrats, two-faced and pathetic in the double-standard they apply to all aspects of life. Stephanopoulos - Exhibit A -

A proposed new law in Denmark could be the first step towards an economic revolution that sees physical currencies and normal bank accounts abolished and gives governments futuristic new tools to fight the cycle of “boom and bust”.

The Danish proposal sounds innocuous enough on the surface – it would simply allow shops to refuse payments in cash and insist that customers use contactless debit cards or some other means of electronic payment.

Officially, the aim is to ease “administrative and financial burdens”, such as the cost of hiring a security service to send cash to the bank, and is part of a programme of reforms aimed at boosting growth – there is evidence that high cash usage in an economy acts as a drag.

But the move could be a key moment in the advent of “cashless societies”. And once all money exists only in bank accounts – monitored, or even directly controlled by the government – the authorities will be able to encourage us to spend more when the economy slows, or spend less when it is overheating.

Governments are migrating towards establishing a 'cashless society'? Who will hold ALL the cards should this effort become accepted on a wide-scale basis? HINT: It won't be us. Please don't take this news lightly, or simply dismiss it as improbable. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Far too many Nations around the globe have lived beyond their means for far too long -

“It’s here! Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) has released their Pig Book, which concludes that since the earmark moratorium imposed in 2011, they have found wasteful pork in at least 12 appropriations bills. While the number of earmarks dropped from 109 in 2014 to 105 in 2015, the cost jumped 55.6 percent. In FY 2014, there were $2.7 billion in earmarks, while this year we’ll see $4.2 billion in pork. In the book, CAGW lists their seven-point criteria for finding pork in government spending.”

Somethings never change! Even after giving the GOP another chance at governance we find them incapable of overcoming the addiction of Pork-Barrel spending. So many problems face our Nation, especially relative to fiscal challenges and we keep electing 'Nero' to fiddle as our Country burns. Pathetic -

In light of last night's horrific Amtrak crash, which left hundreds injured and six dead, the White House is reminding Americans that President Obama wants to increase funding for the train system while those evil Republicans want to cut it.

"We've been very clear about what we think is the appropriate level of funding for Amtrak and the President's budget is I think what's nearly a billion dollar increase in funding for Amtrak. There are extensive infrastructure upgrades that could be made that would benefit the traveling public, it would be good for our economy and that's why we've long advocated for those kinds of investments. Republicans unfortunately are currently considering legislation at the Committee level that would actually cut funding from Amtrak's budget by I believe a quarter of a billion dollars a year. That certainly is not consistent with the kinds of priorities that the President has advocated and sought to advance," Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Wednesday.

It is important to point out that the reason for last night's crash wasn't a lack of funding, but instead because the train was going 100 mph in a 50 mph zone.

Nothing says, 'worthless politician' more than listening to professional politicians use this man-caused tragedy as an excuse to throw even more billions of dollars down the 'rat-hole' Amtrak represents -

“In yet another attempt to stoke the wealth divide that he, and the Federal Reserve have created and pushed to French revolution levels, yesterday Barack Obama had some more comments about the uber wealthy, the same uber wealthy who are shoveling hundreds of millions of dollars in "speaking fees" and other contributions into the charity of that other Democratic middle-class champion, Hillary Clinton.

(And speaking of France, maybe Obama should speak to that other socialist Hollande about how France's 75% tax on millionaires worked out).

In this particular case he was envisioning America's hedge fund managers as an example of all that is uber-wealthy, the people who indirectly through personal and corporate lobby money are in control of Congress, and was hinting at yet another attempt to raise their taxes. As Bloomberg reports, Obama whose crowning achievements are one by one being taken away from him, with Obamacare in peril and the TPP crushed by his own Democrats in the Senate, has had a longstanding proposal to raise taxes on what is known as carried interest. It has gained little traction in Congress and certainly hasn't been approved by Obama's own tax advisor Warren Buffett, who is all for raising income tax but is oddly mum on the topic of financial asset taxation.

Still, Obama has not given up and once again invokes the infamous fairness doctrine, saying that "fairness demands that the nation’s wealthiest pitch in as more and more Americans are falling behind.”

Channeling his inner-Marxist, Obama goes on the record. What? You didn't know Obama was a Marxist? You probably aren't aware of Hillary's leanings either, or you choose not to believe your lying eyes -

It has been rumored that Megan is being woo'd by ISIS, as an anchor position on whatever crappy news show they produce. While I am sure they would love her to come visit, the image below is likely one of those items that would be a sticking point in that every-so-important first interview.

FAST FORWARD: Megan is now doing "front line" interviews on topics that 0.1% of the population cares about. COMMON CORE and more specifically, How Does Jeb Feel About It?

His amazing response:

“Common Core means a lot of different things to different people,” responded Bush

This is a response of an idiot / politician. Take your pick. Both may apply. Points that come to mind...

  • Who cares what Jeb thinks about it -- or anything else in his Bush-league head?
  • How sad is it that Goober Bush is being billed as the #1 Hillary smasher?
  • How sad is it that Hillary isn't more concerned about federal prison than the motif of her campaign bus?
  • Maybe Kendall had a few good points
Go ask 10 people what Common Core is. We will send you some awesome dlm SWAG for every intelligent/funny-as-hell response you find.

Yes, this isn't news. This should be covered by some not-made-up variant of TheOnion

“It was no surprise that new Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced the Department of Justice will launch a civil rights investigation of the Baltimore Police Department. This is the second investigation that has been authorized in the wake of the riots that broke out following the death of Freddie Gray. The other investigation is looking into potential violations of Gray's civil rights. ...

... The Justice Department investigations will likely show that Baltimore police officers committed civil rights violations. It is almost a foregone conclusion that a negative report will be issued because it will be necessary to satisfy civil rights leaders who have been highly critical of the Baltimore Police Department.

This announcement follows the official charges leveled against six police officers involved in the Freddie Gray case. Despite the hoopla, none of these investigations will solve the problems of Baltimore, a city that has been led by liberal Democrats for five decades. Since the 1960's, Baltimore has been beset by issues that plague other inner city communities. The Great Society programs that were instituted to solve longstanding urban poverty have failed. Over trillions of dollars have been spent, but the problems of blight, drugs, and crime, poverty as well as race relations remain.

The answer from the Obama administration is always more spending and more government. Yet, the root causes of Baltimore’s problems will not be addressed by President Obama, Attorney General Lynch or any other administration official.”

Address the root cause of issues emanating from the inner-city? Never gonna happen, 'cuz liberals and progressives are more concerned about giving hand-outs, then a hand-up. And that reflects during elections -

Might it be safe to conclude that ISIS has no sense of humor? At the risk of their retaliation, we are posting a cartoon of a non-cartoon so not to offend their unwavering belief that any image of "him" is sacrilegious to their religion of peace and as such, said perps become viable candidates for various forms of unscripted forms of lethal retaliation. allahu akbar because here in the US, we accept your religion in whatever twisted form you present it.
(but if you bring weapons to make your point, we will respond in kind, and then some)
“Did Bill Gates, the world’s richest man, cause the breakdown of civil order in Baltimore? How about JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter novels and the world’s richest woman? Is she the cause of all the mayhem?

Last time I looked, Gates was producing products that bring joy to the life of kids who live everywhere. And he is giving away almost all his wealth to help the poorest people in the world. And Rowling? All she does is write books that youngsters like to read and help make movies people of all ages flock to see. What I know about the riots in Baltimore is mainly what I have seen on my TV screen. But I don’t recall any signs that read “Down with Gates” or “We Hate Rowling.”

That doesn’t stop New York Times writer Paul Krugman, who is up to the task of turning almost any tragedy into an opportunity to peddle snake oil. When he is not covering up his abysmal record economic prediction, Krugman’s columns tend to have three themes: (1) people are poor because they can’t find jobs, (2) nonetheless we should do everything we can to close off job opportunities, by encouraging labor union monopolies, raising the minimum wage and voting against any political candidate who has the courage to oppose the teacher unions and try to improve the schools and (3) then blame the tragedy that unfolds on the “top tenth of the top 1 percent.”

Let’s get rid of one left wing myth right away. Krugman and other liberal commentators are asserting that Baltimore’s poor minority community is suffering from “neglect.” True? Hardly.”

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make 'em drink ... Committed liberals and progressives will never accept the reality of their failed policies. In their minds, there is NEVER enough money to redistribute and thus their programs fail due to a lack of funding. What a crock! Simply review the financial and human condition in those cities and states that longer-term have been under the jackboot of liberal and progressive governance and policies. Anyone that continues to imbibe the Democrats' Kool-Aid deserve the lot in life socialism provides -

“An open letter to all mutual-fund investors:

You may be subject to a new “tax,” and it has nothing to do with the presidential election cycle. Rather, the levy would be decided by a consortium of financial regulators who can designate your mutual fund or mutual-fund firm as posing a “systemic risk” to the financial system.

In the years since the global financial crisis, lawmakers and regulators have worked to stabilize the markets and economy. They identified risks to the financial system and took steps to ensure that Main Street would not be on the hook—again—for bad bets placed by Wall Street. Now regulators might place that burden squarely back on Main Street mutual-fund investors without any solid evidence that the funds or their managers could bring on another panic.”

The money grubbing bastards in Washington DC are about to do us all again! If this doesn't get your attention, you just might be comatose and in need of medical attention -
